1. Policy overview
Purchases and subscriptions billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play are governed by that store’s refund policies and applicable law. A request is not automatically approved. Eligibility can depend on the product, timing, payment method, account history, country, and reason for the request.
Tether does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple controls Apple transaction refunds. Google may process Google Play refunds directly and may also allow the developer to assist in certain cases.
2. Request an Apple refund
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase.
- Choose I’d like to, then Request a refund.
- Select the reason, choose the Tether subscription or charge, and submit.
- Return to the same site to check status. Apple says an update commonly takes 24 to 48 hours, though approved funds can take longer to reach the payment method.
If the charge is still pending, Apple generally requires waiting until the receipt is issued. If the transaction does not appear, check receipts for a different Apple Account or contact Apple Support.
3. Request a Google Play refund
Use Google Play’s refund request flow while signed in to the Google Account used for Tether. Google’s policies vary based on what was purchased, how recently it was purchased, location, and payment method.
If Google directs you to the developer, email bud@budjohnson.com with the Google Play order number, purchase date, country, and reason. Do not send card information or a password.
4. A refund is different from cancellation
Canceling stops a future renewal; it normally does not refund an earlier charge. Requesting a refund does not always cancel future renewal.
- Apple: open Tether Settings → Manage subscription, or visit Apple subscriptions.
- Google: open Tether Settings → Manage subscription, or visit Google Play subscriptions.
Deleting Tether, signing out, archiving a connection, or deleting a Tether account does not automatically cancel store billing.
5. Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable rights under the law where you live. Store policies may provide additional regional rights, including specific rules for the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and other jurisdictions.
6. Need help identifying the charge?
Email bud@budjohnson.com with the store, purchase date, product shown on the receipt, and order number. Tether can help identify the correct route but cannot guarantee a store’s decision.
