The request is sent from the authenticated account and, when successful, signs the account out. This action cannot be undone.
If you cannot sign in
Start a verified email request.
Email from the address associated with the Tether account. Use the subject Tether account deletion and state that you want the account and associated data permanently deleted.
To protect the account, we may ask for reasonable verification. Do not send a password, payment-card number, or government identification unless a lawful and proportionate verification method is specifically agreed. Verified requests are handled without unreasonable delay and generally within 30 days, subject to applicable law.
What deletion removes
Account deletion removes Tether-controlled records associated with the account, including:
- account authentication record and profile;
- display name and push-notification token;
- active and archived pair records;
- nudges, shared holds, and relationship-vault history;
- pair-level Premium entitlement records; and
- other app data linked through those records.
Limited backups, fraud-prevention records, support correspondence, transaction records held by stores or RevenueCat, and information required by law may persist for their applicable retention periods. Apple, Google, and other service providers control deletion of information in their own systems.
Deletion does not cancel store billing.
Apple and Google control subscriptions separately from the Tether account. Before deletion, cancel Premium in Tether Settings → Manage subscription or directly through the applicable store:
Deleting an account immediately can remove access while the store subscription remains active. If you need a refund, review the Refund Policy.
Want to close the connection without erasing it?
Choose Archive connection in Settings instead. Archiving closes live touch and moves the relationship to a private, read-only vault. It preserves the account and data and is not a deletion request.
