Hey everyone! It’s great to connect with fellow photography enthusiasts, and I’m excited to share some tips and tricks with you all. In a recent YouTube video, I shared a secret setting that I discovered for the Geekoto GT200 flash head that allows it to work seamlessly with Godox triggers.

As a flash-happy photographer, I have switched over to using Geekoto for all my off-camera flash needs. However, I still have some Godox flashes that I use for on-camera fill light or bounce. I wanted to get these two systems to work together, and it wasn’t an easy task.

After some experimentation, I found a simple trick that did the job. By pushing plus and minus at the same time, a little “a” symbol popped up, and turning it on allowed the GT200 to work with Godox V860 and X2T. This opens up a whole new world of flash setups that you can use together seamlessly.

    1. Ensure that you have a Godox trigger that is compatible with the GT200.
    2. Turn on the GT200 flash head and go into the settings menu.
    3. Locate the “plus” and “minus” buttons on the flash head.
    4. Press the “plus” and “minus” buttons at the same time, and a small letter “a” should appear on the LED screen.
    5. Turn on this “a” setting to allow the GT200 to work with the Godox trigger!
    6. Once the setting is turned on, you should be able to use the Godox trigger with the GT200, allowing you to incorporate other flash setups into your photography.
    7. Experiment with different flash setups and settings to achieve the look and feel you desire for your photographs.

That’s it! With these simple steps, you can connect your Geekoto GT200 flash head to Godox triggers and enjoy the benefits of an expanded flash setup.

I’m a huge fan of Geekoto and personally don’t use the bare bulb feature on the Godox AD200, so I’m excited to see what Geekoto comes up with next. The GT200 is an affordable, reliable flash head that packs a punch at 200 watts, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile flash head.
