Homegrown Builders privacy notice
Keep family information out of the build whenever possible.
This notice describes the intended privacy boundaries for Homegrown Builders. It must be reviewed against the final checkout, course host, email platform, and tool choices before public launch.
Who is responsible for the account?
A parent or legal guardian is the purchasing account holder and manages access for a teen participant.
What information should not go into AI tools?
Do not enter passwords, payment information, precise location, private family information, medical details, school records, or any identifying information that is not necessary for the project.
What project information may be saved?
Families may choose to save project files, screenshots, reflections, and portfolio entries. Public sharing requires parent approval. The final course platform must state where files are stored and how long access lasts.
Will Homegrown Builders sell student data?
No. This program is designed around data minimization. Final third-party providers such as Stripe or a course host will have their own privacy notices and should be reviewed before purchase.
Who do I contact?
Email bud@budjohnson.com with a parent or guardian's question.
