Homegrown Builders privacy notice

Keep family information out of the build whenever possible.

Homegrown Builders collects only the information needed to deliver a course, respond to a family, or plan a local program—and keeps student information private by default.

Who is responsible for the account?

A parent or legal guardian is the purchasing account holder and manages access for a teen participant.

What does the Savannah AI Build Club interest form collect?

A parent or guardian may share their name, email, optional phone number and ZIP code, plus a student's first name or nickname, grade, school setting, experience, interests, availability, and practical participation needs. The form does not ask for a student's email or phone number, street address, exact birth date, school name, medical history, or payment information.

How is Build Club interest information used?

Bud uses it to understand family interest, choose a workable Savannah-area schedule and location, plan group size and pricing, and contact the parent or guardian about the club. Email permission and optional text-message permission are recorded separately. Families can unsubscribe from email or text updates at any time.

Does the interest form include a photo or model release?

No. Joining the interest list does not authorize photos, video, publicity, enrollment, payment, or participation. Any future media release or participation agreement will be presented separately to a parent or guardian.

Can a student under 13 use the interest form?

No. The form is for a parent or guardian to submit on behalf of a student who is at least 13. Please contact Bud directly before sharing information about a younger child.

What information should not go into AI tools?

Do not enter passwords, payment information, precise location, private family information, medical details, school records, or any identifying information that is not necessary for the project.

What project information may be saved?

Families may choose to save project files, screenshots, reflections, and portfolio entries. When a household sends the private First Build checkpoint, Bud may review the build, learn what students are experiencing, improve the course, and contact the household about that submission when useful. Public sharing requires separate parent or household permission; sending a checkpoint does not publish a student’s words, image, or project.

Will Homegrown Builders sell student data?

No. Homegrown Builders does not sell student or family information. Information may be handled by the service providers needed to operate the website, process a purchase, deliver email, or host a course; those providers maintain their own privacy practices.

Who can see interest responses, and how long are they kept?

Build Club responses are stored privately in WordPress and are available only to Bud and authorized website operators. They are kept while the club is being planned or operated, then removed when they are no longer needed. A parent or guardian may ask to review, correct, or delete a response at any time.

Who do I contact?

Email bud@budjohnson.com with a parent or guardian's question or a request to review, correct, or delete information.
